The 2025 Territory Teller annual Retreat will be at Lake Murray State Lodge, just south of Ardmore, Oklahoma. It will start Friday evening January 24 with check-in and our first story sharing around the lobby fireplace at 7:00 PM. Saturday will be casual with a TT board meeting, some story sharing, probably a couple of learning activities and will end Saturday evening with another fireside concert in the lobby. The concert will end about 9:00 PM.
We would love to have you at the retreat. There are no planned Sunday activities, but after checkout you might consider the old rock tower for a visit. And on your way home you will pass a couple of nice casinos. Perhaps you can recover your travel expense money, or more likely leave a donation to the Chickasaw nation.
Make your own reservations by calling the lodge at 580-223-6600. Be sure to state you are with Territory Tellers to get the blocked rate of $129.00 plus taxes. (It is $36.00 off the regular rate). Rooms are blocked for this event until January 10, 2025, so get your room reserved before then. The Lodge does have a 5 day notice cancellation policy. We will all be watching weather forecasts carefully.
There is no registration fee for the event. The costs are for your room, meals, and transportation. The rooms are mostly double queen, facing the lake with a balcony and a nice view. If you have not been to Lake Murray Lodge in a long time, it is a like new facility, nice rooms and large lobby with chairs and sofas.
