Ongoing: OK, SO: TULSA STORY SLAM

There is a thriving story slam group that meets at the IDL Ballroom in downtown Tulsa once a month for storytelling. The theme is different every month. Go to the group’s Facebook page for more information.

Spanish Cove Tellabration

6:30 p.m.
Yukon
Molly Lemmons hosts this Tellabration, with banjo music starting at 6:30 p.m. Tellers include Marilyn Hudson, Molly Lemmons, Sam McMichaels, Liz Parker, Bonnie Smith and Chester Weems. The theme is Country Charm-Nostalgia, and refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Liz Parker.

Chisholm Trail Cowboy Poet Contest & Cowboy Gathering

Prizes will be awarded to 1st through 6th place in both adult and youth divisions. There will be open mic slots throughout the evening in between the featured performers – Robert Beene, Smokey Culver, Daryl Knight and Curtis Krigbaum. The evening will be hosted by Jay Snider and Ron Secoy. The event is free, but is a benefit for the Heritage Center and a $20.00 suggested donation is appreciated.
