He will share some story information but also be open to questions and discussion.
This is a free program provided by Territory Tellers of Oklahoma, to promote the oral tradition of storytelling. You do need to preregister for this meeting. The program will last about an hour, with an extra 30 minutes available for free discussion.

A little bit about Doddi, which he provided:
My full name is Þorsteinn Gunnar Jónsson (Thorsteinn Gunnar Jonsson in English spelling) but everyone around me calls me Doddi. As I register myself to the Icelandic national telephone register, I’m called “dad, granddad, librarian, tourguide and an author” … but maybe in short this title could work: “Tourguiding librarian” ?
Storytelling can be such an interesting subject and as I was preparing a little the other day, a storyline for a book jumped at me and I’ve now written outline and synopsis for two books that go “deep” into myths and folklore of Iceland (trolls, hidden people, ghosts, the “Landvættir” guardians of Iceland (giant, dragon, eagle, bull)), so I think I should be able to share my screen with you and have pictures as well. That’s my goal for the event: to talk about storytelling in Iceland throughout the years, mention the folklore (since it’s a big part of our culture), maybe mention this new story I’m working on and along with picture, just open for questions and discussions.
